Dr. Ingrid Richter is a partner in Threshold Associates, and Executive-in-Residence at the Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa. In these capacities she designs and delivers leadership development programs for executives from all sectors. Dr. Richter has taught leadership and innovation programs at the University of Toronto, Waterloo University and Royal Roads University, and held an appointment as Senior Fellow at the Canada School of Public Service.
With a particular interest in strategic change and social innovation, Dr. Richter has supported a wide variety of health, economic and human development initiatives mainly in lower- and middle-income countries. Dr. Richter has also worked on complex public and stakeholder engagement initiatives for the UN, international NGO’s and for various levels of government in Canada.
As Executive-in-Residence, Dr. Richter supports faculty and staff to ensure that Telfer ‘s programs are designed and facilitated to leading-edge standards. She is Academic Director and faculty member for many of Telfer’s customized leadership development programs and is highly respected for her creative, engaging and inclusive learning methods.
An active contributor to the International Leadership Association community, she co-chaired the International Leadership Association Global Conference in 2019. Dr. Richter is also the co-founder of the Canadian Organization Development Institute, and the Masters Certificate in Organization Development and Change at York University’s Schulich School of Business. She holds a Master’s Degree in Adult Education and Organizational Change from the University of Toronto, and a Doctorate in Management from the University of Lancaster, UK.
